Der Klassiker am Ende eines Jahres: der Rückblick.
Tatsächlich mache ich diesen jedes Jahr gerne, egal ob es in der Corona Zeit war oder jetzt.
Denn ich persönlich finde es wichtig sich noch einmal vor Augen zu führen, was alles passiert ist. Was man alles geschafft hat.
Und auch die kleine Erfolge zu feiern, denn ganz oft hat man nur etwas großes vor Augen und vergisst ganz, was man sonst alles geschaffen hat.
Gerade wenn man selbständig ist, ist der Jahresrückblick unverzichtbar, also legen wir mal los:
Der Januar begann mit unserem 3. Hochzeitstag. Eine tolle Art 2023 zu begrüßen.
Danach legte ich gleich los mit vielen wundervollen Shoots für das Projekt 30 Frauen über 30. wow, wie viele gleich zu Beginn Lust hatten, das hat mich wirklich von den Socken gehauen!
Neues durfte ich lernen und austesten, was das Thema Studiolicht angeht. Denn für mich ist Weiterbildung elementar!
Es gibt so vieles was mich interessiert und was meine Fotoskills verbessert. Und genau das möchte ich meinen Kund*innen bieten können: handwerklich wusligativ hochwertige Arbeit.
Never stop learning!
Anfang des Jahres hatte ich mich auch nach einem Raum umgesehen, den ich für meine Boudoir Shoots mieten konnte. Denn die Zeit in Wiesloch neigte sich dem Ende zu und ich wollte dringend etwas eigenes haben um nicht immer alles ins Auto laden zu müssen und durch die Gegend fahren zu müssen.
Jedem hatte ich es erzählt und ich durchforstete mehrmals täglich alle möglichen Immobilien Plattformen.
Und auf einmal war er da. Der perfekte Raum.
Mein Herz hüpfte. Mein Kopf sagte: bist du dir sicher?
Ein paar Stunden lang überlegte ich, öffnete wieder die Internet Seite und schrieb der Maklerin.
Natürlich würde noch viel Zeit und Geld investiert um den Raum an meine Bedürfnisse fürs Fotoshoot anzupassen.
Aber ja, seit dem 1.4 darf ich dort meine Kundinnen willkommen heißen und Boudoir, Babybauch und Portraits fotografieren.
Im Sommer ist schön kühl dort und im Winter kann man die Heizung dort verwenden. Wir haben unsere Ruhe beim shoot und keinen Zeitdruck, genau das was ich mir gewünscht habe.
Das erste Covershoot durfte ich mit einer lieben Kollegin umsetzen und habe direkt gemerkt, was für einen unglaublichen Spaß dieses Thema macht. Warum sollten nur professionelle Models das Cover eines Magazins zieren? Jede Frau hat es verdient sich einmal wie ein Superstar zu fühlen!
Für mich eine spannende Aufgabe, denn meine Skills die ich Anfang des Jahres erlernt hatte, durfte ich hier gleich anwenden.
I love it!
Mein Boudoir Event ging in die 2. Runde und ich durfte wieder meine ehemaligen Kundinnen sehen und mich mit ihnen unterhalten. Neue Gesichter durfte ich ebenfalls kennen lernen und 2 tollen Vorträgen der Speakerinnen lauschen.
2024 wird es ebenfalls wieder ein Event geben, da freu ich mich schon sehr drauf!
Während der Renovierung, hatte ich noch 2 tolle Shoots in Paris geplant. Ja so bin ich, ein Projekt reicht nicht aus, ich habe gerne mehrere Eisen im Feuer 😉
Und nachdem die Bahn sich entschlossen hatte genau dann zu streiken, wenn ich den tgv nach Paris nutzen musste, musste auch hier Plan b her.
Alles was ich als Disponentin in meinem alten Job gelernt hatte, kam mir jetzt zu gute:
Alternativen suchen und einen kühlen Kopf bewahren.
Defitniv würde ich es nicht empfehle. Freiwillig zu machen, aber der Flixbus war die einzige Option die mit noch blieb.
9 Stunden Busfahrt später war ich dann endlich in Paris.
Der Stadt in die ich mich neu verliebt habe. Und ich bin so froh, dass ich es gesagt hatte und mich nicht habe abbringen lassen von den äußeren Umständen.
Das Team an Dienstleisterinnen, das ich dort kennen lernen durfte, war den ganzen Stress wert!
Und die Fotos die dabei entstanden sind, sind einfach Next Level.
Genau so, wie ich es gehofft hatte. Denn ich wollte sehen, was noch alles in mir steckt. Und auch hier wieder meine Komfortzone verlassen.
Zurück in Deutschland ging es dann wieder weiter mit ganz vielen Portrait und Boudoir Shoots:
Das Atelier wurde gleich voll genutzt und ich fühlte mich immer wohler dort.
Worauf ich 2023 besonders stolz bin: Ich habe mit jeden Monat eine kleine Auszeit gegönnt und ein paar Tage frei gemacht. Egal ob der wundervolle Urlaub auf Kreta, in dem wir einfach nur am Strand lagen und das gute Essen genießen konnten, oder die freien Tage zuhause.
Das war mir nach 2022 ein großes Bedürfnis. Denn wenn mein Akku leer ist, kann ich für niemand da sein. Egal ob es Kund*innen sind oder meine Familie.
Ich habe mehr auf mich geachtet. So wie ich es auf meinem Visionboard auch festgehalten habe.
Meine erste Klangschalenmeditation hatte mich so fasziniert, dass ich wieder eine in Waiblingen buchte. Wer also das noch nicht erlebt hat, sollte ganz dringend sich in die Hände eines erfahrene Menschen begeben: Life changing!
Und dann verlogen die Tage nur so: zwischen dem Ausgleich von tollen Hochzeiten, Fotoshoots und freien Tagen am Bodensee, konnte ich immer wieder in meinem Atelier neue Themen austesten und neue Ecken entdecken in denen ich gerne fotografiere.
Dieses Jahr war wirklich dafür da um Neues zu testen und ich bin mir sicher, dass sich 2024 alles festigt und eine stabile Basis geformt hat.
Wenn ich gerade so meine Fotos auf dem Handy anschaue, dann wird mir bewusst, was ich alles erleben durfte 2023, was ich zum Ziel schon wieder vergessen hatte.
Unser kleiner Ausflug in die Schweiz zum Beidpiel.
Ein Teil von Marcus Verwandtschaft lebt dort und seit Corona haben wir sie nicht gesehen. Also packten war das Auto voll und düsten los.
Zwischen Wanderungen, Wasserfällen und leckeren Burgern blieb dann auch Zeit sich mal wieder zu unterhalten.
Quality Time zu verbringen.
Was mich direkt weiter führt zu meinem kurzen Aufenthalt im Norden Deutschlands:
Ich besuchte eine liebe Kollegin, mit der ich jetzt schon über mehrere Jahre telefoniere und private wie auch berufliche Dinge bespreche, in ihrem Atelier.
Natürlich haben wir dort auch Bilder voneinander gemacht und uns herrlich austauschen können.

Und dann aus einer lustigen Idee heraus, entstand der erste Podcast!
Meine treue Kundin und mittlerweile auch Freundin Laura und ich haben spontan entscheiden, einen Podcast zu starten in dem wir einfach über alles sprechen was uns beschäftigt. Jede 2. Woche, außer jemand wird krank, könnt ihr Why Not Wednesday auf Apple Podcasts und Spotify kostenlos hören!
Verrückt? Vielleicht! Aber genau so sind wir und diese Treffen, egal ob persönlich oder per Zoom, gehören zu denen die inspirierendsten Treffen!
Genau so sollte es sein, man geht aus einem Treffen heraus und ist beflügelt und es geht einem gut. Also such dir deine Freunde Weise aus, mit denen du dich umgibst!
Nachdem mich dann die Grippe pünktlich zu meinem Urlaub erwischt hatte, ja mein Körper spart sich das auf für die Zeit in der ich entspanne ;-), konnte ich so über einiges nachdenken, wie der Rest des Jahres noch aussehen sollte.
Und beschloss spontan ein Ticket nach Paris zu buchen um meine Kolleginnen die ich im März kennen lernen durfte, wieder zu sehen!
Ihr seht, die Angst vor dem alleine reisen habe ich abgelegt und sogar etwas Blut geleckt 🙂
Für 2024 sind wieder Trips nach Paris geplant, denn die Stadt ist einfach fantastisch um Fotos zu machen und sich inspirieren zu lassen.
Also such dir einen Ort an dem du dich regenerieren kannst und einen Ort der dich inspiriert.
Und dann ging es mit großen Schritten Richtung Weihnachten. Viele Termine standen dann noch an, Foroshoots und Auswahltermine. Fast täglich kamen Bestellungen aus dem Labor bei mir an und wurden verpackt.
Ja Weihnachten ist für mich die schönste Zeit im Jahr.
Die Lichter, das Essen, der Duft, die Stimmung. Hach! Mein Bruder hatte sich angekündigt mit seinen Töchtern und seiner Frau aus Kiel zu Besuch zu kommen, was könnte es schöneres geben?
Und was ist dann passiert? Corona fand mich.
Nach dem ich es geschafft hatte mich nicht anzustecken in den ganzen Jahren, fegte es mich von den Füßen.
Ganze 2 Wochen lang mag ich flach. Mit allen Symptomen die man haben kann.
Gliederschmerzen, Fieber, Schüttelfrost, Husten, Schnupfen, Geschmacksverlust, Geruchsverlust, Brainfog und Müdigkeit. You Name it!
Santa da hatte ich mir doch was anderes gewünscht gehabt!
Kurz vor Weihnachten änderte sich dann der Geschmack: Kaffee schmeckte schrecklich, angebratene Zwiebeln rochen furchtbar. Und alles schmeckte irgendwie verbrannt und nach Ammoniak.
Halleluja! Und pünktlich zu heilig Abend war fast wieder alles gut.
Dafür darf ich jetzt noch ein paar Wochen meinen Urlaub genießen und abschalten. Neue Kraft sammeln.
Puh was für ein Jahr! Ich bin für alles dankbar was geschehen ist und was ich erleben durfte.

Ein paar Dinge habe ich schon geplant, für einiges lasse ich noch Platz.
Ich gebe euch gerne einen kurzen Ausblick auf das was für euch interessant sein könnte:
* Für den Valentinstag gibt es ein Boudoir Special was ihr nicht verpassen solltet, also meldet euch gerne wenn ihr mehr Infos möchtet. Die Shoot Termine finden Ende Januar statt, damit ihr eure Fotos zum Valentinstag habt!
* Im Februar findet mein einziger Blitzworkshop statt, hier sind noch ein paar Plätze frei.
* Im März und April (an meinem Geburtstag) werde ich nochmal in Paris sein und dort ebenfalls Portrait Shoots anbieten, vielleicht ja eine tolle Idee für einen Mädelsausflug oder ein After Wedding Photoshoot?
* Im März wird es wieder mein VIP Boudoir Event geben. Da freu ich mich schon ganz besonders drauf! Alle meine Kundinnen und neue Gesichter zu sehen!
* Ab April geht es dann wieder so richtig mit Hochzeit los und darauf freue ich mich ganz besonders!
* Das Projekt 30 Frauen über 30 läuft ja aktuell noch, wer da dabei sein möchte, darf sich ebenfalls jederzeit melden, so lange es noch freie Plätze gibt.
Und ich werde mir sicher noch einige Dinge für euch überlegen. Da könnt ihr sicher sein!

The classic at the end of a year: the review. In fact, I like to do this every year, regardless of whether it was during the Corona period or now. Because I personally think it’s important to think again about everything that happened. What you have achieved. And also to celebrate the small successes, because very often you only have something big in mind and you completely forget what else you have achieved. Especially if you are self-employed, the annual review is indispensable, so let’s get started: January started with our 3rd wedding anniversary. A great way to welcome 2023. After that I started right away with lots of wonderful shoots for the 30 women over 30 project. wow, how many people wanted to do it right from the start, that really blew my socks off! I was able to learn and try out new things when it came to studio lighting. Because for me, further training is elementary! There are so many things that interest me and that improve my photography skills. And that’s exactly what I want to be able to offer my customers: handcrafted, high-quality work. Never stop learning! At the beginning of the year I was also looking for a space that I could rent for my boudoir shoots. Because my time in Wiesloch was coming to an end and I urgently wanted to have something of my own so that I didn’t always have to load everything into the car and drive around. I told everyone about it and I searched through all possible real estate platforms several times a day. And suddenly he was there. The perfect space. My heart jumped. My head said: are you sure? I thought about it for a few hours, opened the website again and wrote to the real estate agent. Of course, a lot of time and money would be invested in adapting the room to my needs for the photo shoot. But yes, since April 1st I’ve been able to welcome my customers there and photograph boudoir, baby bumps and portraits. It’s nice and cool there in summer and you can use the heating there in winter. We have peace and quiet during the shoot and no time pressure, which is exactly what I wanted. I was able to do the first cover shoot with a dear colleague and immediately noticed how much fun this topic was. Why should only professional models grace the cover of a magazine? Every woman deserves to feel like a superstar! It was an exciting task for me because I was able to immediately apply the skills I learned at the beginning of the year. I love it!
My boudoir event went into the 2nd round and I was able to see my former customers again and talk to them. I was also able to meet new faces and listen to two great lectures from the speakers. There will also be another event in 2024, so I’m really looking forward to it! During the renovation, I had two great shoots planned in Paris. Yes, that’s me, one project isn’t enough, I like to have several irons in the fire 😉 And after the railway decided to strike exactly when I had to use the tgv to Paris, plan b had to be found here too. Everything I had learned as a dispatcher in my old job now served me well: Look for alternatives and keep a cool head. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it. It was voluntary, but the Flixbus was the only option left. 9 hours of bus ride later I was finally in Paris. The city I fell in love with again. And I’m so glad that I said it and didn’t let external circumstances dissuade me. The team of service providers that I got to know there were worth all the stress! And the photos that were taken are simply next level. Just as I hoped. Because I wanted to see what else was inside me. And here again I left my comfort zone. Back in Germany we continued with lots of portrait and boudoir shoots: The studio was immediately fully used and I felt more and more comfortable there.
What I’m particularly proud of in 2023: I took a little break every month and took a few days off. No matter whether it was the wonderful holiday on Crete, where we just lay on the beach and enjoyed the good food, or the days off at home. That was a great need for me after 2022. Because if my battery is empty, I can’t be there for anyone. No matter whether they are customers or my family. I paid more attention to myself. Just like I recorded it on my vision board. I was so fascinated by my first singing bowl meditation that I booked another one in Waiblingen. So if you haven’t experienced this yet, you should urgently put yourself in the hands of an experienced person: Life changing! And then the days just seemed like a lie: between balancing great weddings, photo shoots and days off at Lake Constance, I was always able to test out new topics in my studio and discover new corners in which I enjoy taking photos. This year was really for testing new things and I’m sure that in 2024 everything will consolidate and form a stable basis. When I look at my photos on my cell phone, I realize what I was able to experience in 2023 that I had already forgotten by the time I got there. Our little trip to Switzerland, for example. Some of Marcus‘ relatives live there and we haven’t seen them since Corona. So we packed up the car and drove off. Between hikes, waterfalls and delicious burgers there was also time to chat again. to spend quality time. Which leads me directly to my short stay in northern Germany: I visited a dear colleague, with whom I have been speaking on the phone for several years now and discussing private and professional matters, in her studio. Of course, we also took pictures of each other there and had a great time exchanging ideas. Dear Jasmine, thank you very much for the great exchange with you!
And then out of a funny idea, the first podcast was born! My loyal customer and now friend Laura and I spontaneously decided to start a podcast in which we simply talk about everything that concerns us. Every other week, unless someone gets sick, you can listen to Why Not Wednesday for free on Apple Podcasts and Spotify! Crazy? Perhaps! But that’s exactly how we are and these meetings, whether in person or via Zoom, are some of the most inspiring meetings! That’s exactly how it should be, you leave a meeting energized and feeling good. So choose your friends to surround yourself with! After the flu caught me just in time for my vacation – yes, my body saves it for when I’m relaxing ;-), I was able to think about a lot of things about what the rest of the year should look like. And I spontaneously decided to book a ticket to Paris to see my colleagues again who I got to know in March! You see, I’ve put aside my fear of traveling alone and even tasted a little blood 🙂 Trips to Paris are planned again for 2024, because the city is simply fantastic for taking photos and being inspired. So find a place where you can regenerate and a place that inspires you. And then we took big steps towards Christmas. There were still many appointments to be made, foroshoots and selection dates. Orders from the laboratory arrived and were packed almost every day. Yes, Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year for me. The lights, the food, the smell, the mood. Haha! My brother had announced that he would be visiting from Kiel with his daughters and his wife, what could be nicer? And what happened after that? Corona found me. After I had managed not to get infected in all these years, it swept me off my feet. I like flat for 2 whole weeks. With all the symptoms you can have. Body aches, fever, chills, cough, runny nose, loss of taste, loss of smell, brain fog and fatigue. You name it! Santa, I had wanted something else! Shortly before Christmas the taste changed: coffee tasted terrible, fried onions smelled terrible. And everything tasted kind of burnt and like ammonia. Hallelujah! And just in time for Christmas Eve everything was almost fine again. But I can now enjoy my vacation and switch off for a few more weeks. Gather new strength.
Phew what a year! I am grateful for everything that happened and what I was able to experience. Thank you 2023! Thanks to all my customers, my silent readers, my supporters. Without you, I wouldn’t exist like this. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! And I’m very excited to see what will happen in 2024. I’ve already planned a few things, but I’m still leaving room for a few things.
